Bloom Events Website
Role Art Direction • UI / UX Design Project Website Redesign
ObjectiveModernize their existing website and help portray Bloom Events as the premium event planners in Minneapolis
|
ChallengeWhile Bloom is a top player in the Minneapolis market for wedding planning (and was picked for The Knot Best of Weddings 2019), the existing website felt outdated. The opening page was a looping video and visitors needed to click an "Enter Site" button to find services and site navigation. The old site did not feel cohesive across pages and lacked a luxury feel. The clients needed a website that they could edit and update as needed, so we decided to utilize the Wix platform.

Old Website
ApproachThe Bloom project was done 100% remotely and we communicated strictly via email. I had the clients send me over examples of sites they liked, as well as a few key words they'd use to describe Bloom Events. "Luxury", "High-end" and "Clean" were the adjectives they provided me. White space, a legible script font, a complimentary nude color and prominent photography helped take the site in a new direction. A simple and obvious navigation structure was designed for quick maneuverability across the site.

Overall OutcomeThe new website feels modern and simple. It also better represents the quality of service Bloom Events offers. Site visitors can quickly identify services, read through testimonials, and view event photography.
